World’s smallest camcorder in chewing gum cover

I hope this is not the best to offer in the consumer market, other than non corporate and government based spying; sigh, welcome to the land of homeland security. What would be the most inconspicuous thing to carry in a mafia drop where everybody is in there with Armani’s’ and desert eagles? A Wrigley’s… not quite.

Pottery Barn’s Speaker Bookshelf: The Chinese would love this!

With the severe crunch for space that we have these days, we sure would love to dual up things. What you see up there is a speaker bookshelf that was developed by Pottery Barn’s PBteen division. It is basically nothing but a bookshelf and speakers built into one. I think it’s a pretty neat idea to store all your books and CD’s on it, and just be able to connect your iPod or MP3 player onto those and get some pimpin hot music playing while you do your chores. Nikon D300: U.S. retailers take pre-orders for latest Nikon DSLR

nikon d300 dslr
U.S. retailers such as the Wolf Camera/Ritz Camera chain just started taking the first orders for Nikon’s latest DLSR, the highly anticipated Nikon D300 Digital SLR Camera. Don’t miss to be one of the first to firmly establish your place in line for this exciting new camera. Typically the pr-orders are always filled in the order that they are placed, and orderers credit cards will not be charged until their item has been shipped.

The D300 will be available from Nikon Authorized Dealers beginning in November 2007 for an estimated selling price of $1800. With the introduction of the D300, Nikon’s current lineup of digital SLR cameras now includes the new D3, D2XS, D300, D200, D80, D40x and D40.
According Nikon, estimated selling prices listed are only an estimate. Actual prices are set by dealers and are subject to change at any time. Read more

ooVoo video conferencing: Wonderful way of six-timing while online

As opening overseas branches is becoming a trend among all major multinationals, the importance of videoconferencing is being realized like never before. People simply love the comfort it gives and the money it helps businesses save by holding meetings with their subordinates worldwide. Of course you and I probably don’t care about that much sophistication, but with networking catching up like crazy (the other day I discovered a networking site for pets), video conferencing is one thing people the world over have come to adore. And how about one that allows you to video conference with 6 people at a time? Sounds too confusing and not-so-private to me. But then maybe, I’m a loyalist. Read more

RC Chopper with Video Camera: As intrusive as it gets

If you’re one of those ‘out-of-home-I’m-a-free-bird’ type of kids who is just a total junkie once outside, then you’re going to cringe at the thought of having one of these hovering on your head. The fact is that it’s not too inexpensive either for mothers to buy, so you better be on the watch out.
But on the more serious side, the covert cops would no more need an excuse to stay away from spying, with the Radio Control Recon Camera Helicopter, from the Discovery Channel Store being available at just $200. Read more

Say Cheese! Your smile´s being rated

Hot smiles, cold smiles, sexy smiles, friendly smiles, cute smiles, flattering smiles, the list is endless. But how would you like software that helps you measure a smile? You think I’m crazy? Read on.
The Smile Measuring Software, which is what Omron claims to have developed, can rate the amount of happiness the person in a photo is exhibiting. Jeez, that way my hyper-strict uncle will get a 0%.
Jokes apart, the software is only 50 kb in weight, and though of course you and me could never consider it accurate, as a human smile has many diverse meanings, it may well be the base on which robots (Sheesh I hate em now) may understand their owner’s mood in later times. Read more

Sunglasses with embedded camera: Get working on it, perv

So you’ve always been slapped for staring too hard, let alone being allowed to record a video of what’s happening. But with the new sunglasses with the hidden camera (yeah, don’t just jump off your seats yet), you can record all of that and much more.
Porn websites sure are running crazy with all the voyeurism they could indulge in with all this, but on the less pervy side, it is also great for citizen journalists who may want to record all the happenings, without seeming intrusive. Read more
