Pottery Barn’s Speaker Bookshelf: The Chinese would love this!

With the severe crunch for space that we have these days, we sure would love to dual up things. What you see up there is a speaker bookshelf that was developed by Pottery Barn’s PBteen division. It is basically nothing but a bookshelf and speakers built into one. I think it’s a pretty neat idea to store all your books and CD’s on it, and just be able to connect your iPod or MP3 player onto those and get some pimpin hot music playing while you do your chores.

On the more cynical side however, I sure hope it’s good quality, as usually such hybrids turn out to be poor in terms of worth. The shelving unit measures in at 36″(w) x 13″(h) x 6″ (d) and comes in both white and blue finishes and retails for $129.
