Olympus omnidirectional video-camera: 360 degree view in HD resolution

Olympus’ creations have always been known to many to always attract a certain cream of attention, a very premium and photo-passionate segment. True, their camera quality is always the best, but not too many times have we seen them innovating something extraordinary, have we? Maybe with their new Omnidirectional video-camera they will. True to it’s name, the video camera is omni-directional, by that I mean, has a 360 degree view in 1080 HD resolution. It is fitted with a tappered lens that can grab omnidirectional images within a vertical plane of 50 degrees. Of course it’s the security guys who are going to be most excited about this , but then we whacky ones can think of a dime a dozen things to do with it too, can’t we? The lens is shaped like a top with a diameter of about 6cm. It is made of plastic. Sounds exciting, huh?
