Olympus recently went mod and artsy (and wild) with their Limited-Edition Digicam. Only 5,000 will be made so that means only five thousand will be hip and cool with the retro-styled digicam.
Each Olympus camera comes with 3 unique skins designed by artist Matei Apostolescu. The artist said, “The opportunity to design these camera skins was an interesting prospect for me. With photography being an exciting art form in its own right and a major component of today’s digital art, I was fascinated by the idea of designing pieces where the ‘canvas’ would ultimately be an instrument that can be used to create art mmm.”
So the design is cool but how about the features? The Olympus Mju 1020 comes with 10.1 Megapixels and 7x optical zoom. Quite lacking in advanced features but I am certain that the camera design won’t disappoint.
No word yet on the price and when this artistic edition will be officially released but the plain Olympus 1020 is priced at $350.
