Samsung’s 8MP Camera Phone Module: World’s Slimmest

Slim is in says Samsung. But what’s more in is Samsung’s latest camera module development of an 8 megapixel camera to be used on their next phones. This one has no official nickname yet but has been making camera phone crazies crazier. I am expecting the future phone’s camera features will be its selling point than its call or text functions. Why, 8MP with CMOS sensors enclosed in a tiny phone is just impressive.

Slim phones out in the market usually have 5MP but Samsung is making a revolutionary turn. The newly developed module will come with ISO 1600 sensitivity, face-detection, 1-cm macro mode, and will be 10% more compact than the current ones.

Official production of Samsung phones packed with the latest camera module is set on 3rd quarter of 2008.
