Following the footsteps of the Flip and Creative Vado, Sony just introduced the Sony HDR-TG1, a pocket videocamera ideal for those who are fond of taking short videos of anyone, anytime, and anywhere and then upload them to YouTube for the world to see.
Digital cameras work just fine but better image quality won’t hurt. Since Sony is known to provide impressive image and video quality, expect that the HDR-TG1 will just do the right thing.
Advanced video features include:
- size 3×12×6,4 cm and the weight 283,5 g
- Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar lens with a 10× optical zoom,
- Clear-Vid CMOS sensor with Exmor technology
- BION image processor
- LCD 2,7 inch display
- 1920 x 1080 pixels maximum resolution
- uses PRO Duo Mark2 card up to 4 GB
- directional microphone
- face recognition for taking pictures
The Sony HDR-TG1 pocket videocam is expected to roll out before May ends for around $900. Hmmm … expensive for a pocket device.
