Green Shooting power: Canon files for patent, DSLR’s to run fuel cells?

Canon recently filed a patent for a new technology that could perhaps change the face of DSLR batteries with the use of fuel cells. At present, lithium-ion batteries are most commonly used but it looks like Canon would like to make the world a better place.

Fuel cells are an alternive power source for those who are thinking ‘green’. A number of cars are already using fuel cells that last longer than most car batteries. If the patent has been approved, then it’s time for Mother Earth to be happy once more and for geeks to make use of their gadgets for a longer period of time.
